Fees explained

What Waqaram costs, and what that covers

A free registration, 2 free listings included, or a one-time Rs 499 upgrade for unlimited listings. One commission per completed sale, no hosting bill. This page explains what the commission pays for, how it compares to running your own store, and what you keep in real rupees. The operational detail is in the seller handbook.

What the commission actually buys

Selling a digital product involves more infrastructure than most first-time sellers expect. The commission replaces every line item below with a single deduction that only applies when you have been paid.

  • Payment processing across JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast, bank transfer and cards.
  • Escrow handling so buyers will pay in advance for a file they have not opened.
  • File hosting and bandwidth, with signed expiring download links to prevent redistribution.
  • Automatic delivery, receipts and re-download access from the buyer's account library.
  • Dispute review, fraud screening and chargeback handling.
  • Marketplace traffic: category pages, search, product feeds and editorial coverage on the blog.

Compared with running your own store

A self-hosted store looks cheaper until you total the fixed costs, which are payable whether or not you sell anything that month: hosting, a payment gateway with its own per-transaction cut, a delivery plugin, an SSL certificate and your own time handling failed payments and refund requests.

At low volume a marketplace commission is almost always cheaper because it is purely variable. At high volume the calculation shifts, which is why listings here are non-exclusive: you can run both and let each channel carry the customers it acquires.

No hidden costs on either side

Buyers pay the listed price. There is no platform surcharge added at checkout, and no currency conversion, because everything is priced and settled in PKR.

Sellers pay 2 free listings (or one Rs 499 upgrade for unlimited listings), nothing to host and nothing recurring. Commission is charged only on completed sales.

Payout mechanics

Cleared balance appears in your seller dashboard after delivery is confirmed and the dispute window closes. You request a payout to JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast or a bank account, and the commission is deducted at that point, so the available figure is the figure that arrives.

If you are choosing a payout rail, the comparison of JazzCash, Easypaisa and Raast covers limits, speed and reliability for sellers.

Frequently asked questions

No. Everything is one-time: free to register, 2 free listings included, and an optional one-time Rs 499 Premium upgrade for unlimited listings. A commission is deducted only from completed sales.
