The best websites to sell digital products in Pakistan
Seven platforms compared on the four things that decide whether you actually get paid: PKR payouts, JazzCash and Easypaisa checkout, fees, and how the file reaches the buyer.
Short answer
For Pakistani creators the shortlist is Waqaram, Gumroad, Payhip and Lemon Squeezy. Waqaram is the only one on this list built specifically for Pakistan: prices and payouts are in PKR, buyers pay with JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast or card, and sellers are paid into a local bank account or wallet. Gumroad, Payhip and Lemon Squeezy are strong global storefronts but pay out in USD and need PayPal, Payoneer or a Wise-style account, and they do not accept JazzCash or Easypaisa at checkout.
Side-by-side comparison
Fees and payout rules change; the figures for Waqaram are our own published pricing, and the others reflect each platform's publicly documented model. Always confirm on the provider's own pricing page before you commit.
| Platform | Best for | Fees | Seller payouts | Buyer payment methods | Delivery |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Waqaram Built for Pakistan | Selling to buyers inside Pakistan in PKR | Rs 749 one-time registration, Rs 75 per listing (or a one-time Rs 499 upgrade for unlimited listings), 9.3% commission per completed sale | PKR to a Pakistani bank account, JazzCash or Easypaisa | JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast, debit and credit cards | Instant download delivery with escrow-style order protection |
| Gumroad | Selling to a global, mostly Western audience | Flat platform fee per sale plus payment processing | USD via PayPal or supported bank transfer, on a payout schedule | No JazzCash, Easypaisa or Raast | Instant download, hosted checkout, built-in email list |
| Payhip | A simple free storefront with EU VAT handling | Free plan with a per-sale cut, paid plans reduce or remove it | USD/EUR/GBP via PayPal or Stripe where available | No local Pakistani wallets | Instant download, coupons, memberships |
| Lemon Squeezy | Software, licences and SaaS-style digital goods | Percentage plus fixed fee per transaction | USD via supported payout partners | No local Pakistani wallets | Licence keys, instant download, merchant-of-record tax handling |
| Daraz | Physical products, not downloads | Category commission plus fulfilment charges | PKR to a Pakistani bank account | Local payment methods and cash on delivery | Built around shipping physical inventory |
| Shopify | Running your own branded store at scale | Monthly subscription plus payment gateway fees | Depends on the gateway you connect | Only through a third-party Pakistani gateway you set up yourself | Needs a digital-download app for file delivery |
| Instagram or WhatsApp direct selling | Testing an idea with an audience you already have | No platform fee | Direct wallet or bank transfer from each buyer | Whatever you and the buyer agree on | Manual: you send the file yourself after checking payment |
The honest verdict on each one
Waqaram
The most direct route to Pakistani buyers: no currency conversion, no foreign payment account, and buyers checkout with the wallet they already use.
Gumroad
Excellent if your buyers are abroad and you already hold a PayPal or Payoneer account. Pakistani buyers face card-only checkout and USD pricing.
Payhip
Cheap to start and easy to set up, but payouts still depend on Stripe or PayPal availability for your country.
Lemon Squeezy
The strongest option for developers selling licences internationally; overkill and awkward for a purely local audience.
Daraz
Huge local traffic, but it is a physical-goods marketplace. Digital downloads are not what the catalogue, listing rules or logistics are designed for.
Shopify
Total control and unlimited branding, but you pay every month, bring your own traffic and wire up payments and delivery yourself.
Instagram or WhatsApp direct selling
Zero cost and zero friction to start, but there is no buyer protection, no order record, no automatic delivery and no search traffic. It stops scaling quickly.
How to choose, in six questions
Answer these before you sign up anywhere. They decide the outcome far more than the platform's homepage does.
Where do your buyers actually live?
If most of your audience is in Pakistan, a PKR checkout with JazzCash and Easypaisa converts far better than a USD card-only page. If your audience is mostly abroad, a global storefront makes more sense.
How will you get paid?
Global platforms pay in USD and usually need PayPal, Payoneer or a similar account. A local marketplace pays into your Pakistani bank account or wallet with no conversion step.
One-time fees or a monthly subscription?
Subscriptions charge you in slow months too. Waqaram uses one-time fees plus commission on completed sales only, so your cost tracks your revenue.
Who brings the traffic?
Your own store means you buy or earn every visit. A marketplace already ranks for category searches and puts your listing in front of buyers who are shopping.
What protects the buyer?
First-time buyers in Pakistan are wary of paying strangers online. Order records, instant delivery and a refund process remove the objection that kills most direct-message sales.
How much does each extra listing cost?
If you plan to publish more than about seven products, a one-time unlimited-listing upgrade works out cheaper than paying per listing.
