Payhip vs Lemon Squeezy vs Waqaram for Pakistani Sellers

Payhip and Lemon Squeezy are good products. The problem for a Pakistani seller is not their software - it is the road the money takes to reach you, and the payment methods your buyers are offered at checkout.
The comparison that matters
Platform fee is the number everyone compares. Payout route and buyer payment options decide what you actually earn.
| Platform | Payout to Pakistan | Buyer pays with | Prices in PKR |
|---|---|---|---|
| Payhip | PayPal or Stripe - neither straightforward here | Card, PayPal | Conversion only |
| Lemon Squeezy | Wise or bank, USD, KYC-heavy | Card, PayPal | Conversion only |
| Gumroad | PayPal or bank via partner, USD | Card, PayPal | Conversion only |
| Waqaram | JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast, local bank - in PKR | JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast, card | Native |
Why the payout column decides it
PayPal does not operate for receiving sellers in Pakistan. That single fact removes the default payout route on most global platforms, leaving workarounds that are fragile, slow, or dependent on someone else's account.
What survives the workaround is smaller than the headline fee suggests: currency conversion, intermediary charges and withdrawal fees stack before the money lands.
Why the checkout column decides the rest
A large share of Pakistani buyers do not own an internationally enabled card. A checkout offering only card and PayPal quietly excludes them - you never see the sale you lost.
Offering JazzCash, Easypaisa and Raast is not a nicety in this market, it is the difference between a browsing visitor and a paying one.
When a global platform is still the right call
If your audience is mostly outside Pakistan and you already have a working USD route, Lemon Squeezy's merchant-of-record handling of foreign VAT is genuinely useful and worth the fee.
Many sellers run both: a global platform for foreign buyers, Waqaram for the local market, with the same files. Nothing stops you listing in both places.
What Waqaram costs
Free seller registration with 3 free listings, an optional one-time Premium upgrade for unlimited listings, and a flat 9.3 percent commission on completed sales that covers payment processing, escrow, file hosting and delivery. No monthly fee, no hosting bill, no charge for bandwidth.
